Lincoln – the beautiful majestic cathedral city is the hidden gem of the East of England.
Home to one of the finest examples of gothic cathedrals in Europe and a near – perfectly formed castle built by William the Conqueror it is a fabulous destination to host your conference.
With numerous bars, restaurants and quirky cafes, excellent shopping facilities and over 1,000 hotel beds Lincoln has everything you need to host a memorable event. What’s more this small but perfectly formed city is probably a lot closer than you can imagine, with good road, rail and air links.
As you visit for the first time don’t be surprised if get a feeling of déjà-vu. Lincoln has featured in some very famous Hollywood blockbusters including ‘The Da Vinci Code’ and the ‘Young Victoria’ and TV drama Downton Abbey.
How to find us
We are located 2 miles North of Lincoln, from the A46 Lincoln by-pass. The main entrance to the Showground is at Gate 1, immediately off the A15. Our postcode is LN2 2NA.
- 20 minutes to the A1.
- 15 minutes by road to Lincoln Central Train Station, with a 25 minute train journey to the East Coast Main Line at Newark North Gate Station, or 30 minutes by road from Lincolnshire Showground to Newark. The train journey from Newark to London Kings Cross is less than 90 minutes.
- 15 minutes from Lincoln Central Bus Station.
- The Showground is serviced by bus 103, Lincoln – Scunthorpe,
- 10 minutes to the historic City of Lincoln, with attractions including the Cathedral District and Brayford Waterfront.

Public Bus Services to the Lincolnshire Showground
We are delighted that Lincolnshire County Council has put in place a Traffic Order which again allows buses to stop at the bus stop on the A15 at the main entrance to the Showground.
When travelling to Lincoln it is necessary to wait on the path on the opposite side of the A15 to the Showground.
